Preheat the oven to 350ºF. In the op of a double broiler or heavy saucepan, melt butter with sugar. Remove from the heat and stir in egg. Add remaining ingredients. Butter and flour a 9 inch pan. Bake for 25 to 30 minutes. Makes 9 to 12 squares
