Butterscotch Frosting

3 tablespoons of unsalted butter
2 cups of confectioners sugar
1 1/2 tablespoons of milk
1/2 teaspoon of vanilla extract
1/2 cup of ground pecans  

Place the butter in a saucepan, heat slowly and carefully until the butter begins to brown. Stir in the sugar, then remove from heat. Add milk and vanilla to butter mixture, stir until smooth. Stir in nuts. Frosts two 8 inch layers
