Barbecued Chicken 2

one 2 1/2 - 3 pound fryer, cut up
flour
1/2 cup of shortening or butter
1/4 cup of vinegar
1/4 cup Of Worcestershire sauce
a few drops of Tabasco sauce
1/4 cup of catsup
1/4 cup of brown sugar
1 teaspoon of salt
1 teaspoon of chili powder
2 cups of water

Dredge chicken in flour, brown in shortening. Combine all of the remaining ingredients in large saucepan, add browned chicken and cook over medium heat until chicken is tender and sauce thickens slightly. Use sauce on mashed potatoes for delicious gravy. Makes 5 servings
