Country Steak RecipesFromScratch.com9/7/06

1 pound of round steak
2 tablespoons of flour
2 tablespoons of melted fat
1 large onion, chopped
1 teaspoon of salt
1/8 teaspoon of pepper
1 cup of water

Pound meat on wooden board with hammer; cut into serving pieces. Sprinkle flour on both sides of meat. Brown meat in fat, sprinkle with onion, salt and pepper. Add water, cover and simmer for 30 minutes or until tender. Add more water if necessary. Makes 4 servings
