Fried Old Virginia Ham

4 center cut, cured ham slices, 1/4 inch thick
1 cup of cold water
1 1/2 tablespoon of flour
1 cup of milk

Place the ham in cold water; heat to boiling. Drain; brown ham slowly. Blend flour with 1 1/2 tablespoons of ham drippings, add milk slowly, stirring constantly. Cook until thickened. Pour gravy over ham. serve. Makes 4 servings
