Individual Old-Fashioned Pound Cakes
2 cups of margarine, softened
3 cups of granulated sugar
1 teaspoon of vanilla extract
1 teaspoon of almond extract
1 teaspoon of imitation butter flavoring
6 eggs
4 cups of all-purpose flour (sifted 3 times)
3/4 cup of milk
Preheat oven to 325ºF. In large mixing bowl,
cream margarine, gradually
adding sugar. Beat in extracts and butter flavoring. Beat in eggs one at a
time,
beating well after each addition. Beginning and ending with flour,
alternately
add flour and milk, beating well after each addition. Pour batter into ten
greased 5x3x1 1/2-inch loaf pans. Bake 40 to 45 minutes, or until a
toothpick inserted into
a cake comes out clean. Serves 10. |
