Moonshine Whiskey Cake 

1/2 cup of butter
1 cup of sugar
3 eggs, beaten
1 3/4 cup of flour
1/2 teaspoon of baking powder
1/4 teaspoon of salt
1/2 teaspoon of nutmeg
1/4 cu of milk
1/4 teaspoon of soda
1/4 cup of molasses
1 pound of seedless pecans or walnuts
1/4 cup of bourbon

 

Cream the butter and sugar in a bowl, then stir in the eggs. Mix the flour, baking powder, salt and nutmeg and stir into the butter mixture. Stir in the milk. Mix the soda with molasses and stir into the butter mixture. Stir in the raisins, pecans, and bourbon and pour into a greased and floured loaf pans. Bake at 300ºF.  for 2 hours. Cool and remove from pans. Wrap in foil and store in refrigerator
