4 halibut steaks, 1 inch thick, about 1 1/2 pounds 1/4 teaspoon of salt 4 sprigs of dill weed 4 slices of lemon 5 black peppercorns 1/4 cup of dry white wine or water
Heat the oven to 450º F. Place the fish steaks in an un-greased rectangular baking dish, 12 x 7 1/2 x 2 inches. Sprinkle with salt. Place the dill weed sprig and lemon slice on each. Top with peppercorns. Pour the wine over the fish. Bake uncovered for 20 to 25 minutes or until the fish flakes easily. Makes 4 servings
