| Oatmeal Griddlecakes
1/2 cup of whole wheat pastry flour 1 teaspoon of salt 1 egg, lightly beaten 1 teaspoon of un-sulphured molasses 3/4 cup of milk 4 teaspoons of baking powder 1 1/2 cup of rolled oats 1 tablespoon of oil 3/4 cup of water |
| Sift together the pastry flour, baking powder, and salt. Stir in oats. Combine egg, oil, molasses, water, and milk. Pour into the dry ingredients and beat until smooth. Ladle mixture onto a hot, oiled griddle and cook until browned; turn and brown the second side.
