| Pork & Mushroom Pasta Pizza 2 cups of packaged dried rope macaroni or corkscrew macaroni 1 slightly beaten egg 1/4 cup of milk 2 tablespoons of grated Parmesan or Romano cheese 1 pound of ground pork or ground beef 1 cup of chopped onion 2 cloves garlic, minced One 15 ounce can or jar of pizza sauce 1/4 teaspoon of crushed red pepper One 4 ounce can of sliced mushrooms, drained 1/2 cup of chopped green sweet pepper 1 cup of shredded mozzarella cheese |
| Cook the pasta according to package directions. Drain the pasta, rinse with cold water. drain again. Combine the egg, milk, and Parmesan or Romano cheese. Stir in the pasta. Spread the mixture evenly into a greased 13 inch pizza pan. Bake in a 350ºF. oven for 20 minutes. Meanwhile, in a large skillet cook the ground meat, onion, and garlic until the meat is brown and the onion is tender. Drain the fat. Stir in the pizza sauce and crushed red pepper. Bring to boiling, reduce heat. Cover and simmer for 10 minutes. Spoon the meat mixture over baked pasta crust. Top with the mushrooms and green pepper. Sprinkle with mozzarella cheese. Bake for 10 to 12 minutes more or until the cheese is melted and the pizza is heated through. Serves 6
