Quick Orange Coffee
Cake
2/3 cup of sugar
1 tablespoon of grated orange peel
2 packages (10 ounces each) of refrigerated buttermilk biscuits
3 tablespoons of butter or margarine, melted
1/2 cup of powdered sugar
1 tablespoon of orange juice
In a small bowl, mix together sugar and orange peel; set aside. Separate
biscuits. Dip each into melted butter, then into sugar mixture to coat well.
In a greased 9-inch round baking pan, arrange dough to overlap slightly.
Sprinkle any remaining sugar mixture on top. Bake in a 375ºF. oven 35
minutes, or until golden brown. Cool on a wire rack 10 minutes. Turn out
onto a serving plate. In a small bowl, combine powdered sugar and orange
juice; blend well. Drizzle over coffee cake. Makes 1 9-inch coffee cake
