Sour Cream Pound Cake

1 cup of margarine (2 sticks)
3 cups of sugar
6 eggs, separated
3 cups of all purpose sifted flour
1/4 teaspoon of baking soda
1 cup of sour cream

Cream together the margarine and sugar thoroughly. Add the egg yolks, one at a time, beating thoroughly after each addition. Sift together the flour and soda. Alternately, add flour and sour cream to creamed mixture, beating well after each addition. Beat the egg whites until stiff and fold in. Turn the batter into a greased and floured 10 inch tube pan. Bake at 300ºF. for 1 hour and 30 minutes.
