Scalloped Oysters 4
1 pint of oysters
4 tablespoons of oyster fluid
2 tablespoons of milk or cream
1/2 cup of bread crumbs
1 cup of cracker crumbs
1/2 cup of melted butter
salt and pepper |

Mix bread and cracker crumbs and stir in butter. Put this layer in bottom
of shallow, buttered baking dish. Cover with oysters and sprinkle with salt
and pepper. Add half each of oyster liquid and milk or cream. Repeat and top
with remaining crumbs. Bake for 30 minutes in 450ºF. oven. Never allow
more than 2 layers of oysters.
