Wine Baked Chicken Breasts

1 cup of red wine
1/4 cup of soy sauce
1/4 cup of salad oil
2 tablespoons of water
1 clove garlic, peeled and sliced
1 teaspoon of powdered ginger
1/4 teaspoon of oregano
1 tablespoon of brown sugar
3 chicken breasts, split in halves
3 or 4 cups of cooked wild rice

Preheat oven to 375ºF. Combine all sauce ingredients and mix well. Place the chicken in a large casserole. Pour the mixture over all and cover dish. Bake about 1 1/2 hours or until the chicken is tender and done. Uncover the last 15 minutes of baking, unless the pan  juices have cooked down to almost nothing. Serve at once, surrounded by mounds of hot cooked wild rice. Makes 6 servings
