Welsh Rarebit RecipesFromScratch.com8/28/06

4 tablespoons of butter
4 tablespoons of flour
2 cups of milk
1 teaspoon of salt
1/4 teaspoon of dry mustard
1 teaspoon of Worcestershire sauce
2 eggs, beaten together
1/2 pound of sharp cheese

 

Make cream sauce with butter, flour and milk in a double broiler. Add seasonings and cheese and stir until well blended. Before removing from heat, add well beaten eggs. Pour over buttered toast. Serves 6
