Angel Biscuits

5 cups of flour
1/2 cup of sugar
2 teaspoons of baking powder
1 teaspoon of soda
1 teaspoon of salt
1 cup of Crisco
1 yeast cake (or 1 pkg. of dry yeast)
2 tablespoons of warm water
2 cups of buttermilk
1 stick of margarine, melted

Sift dry ingredients together, blend in Crisco. Dissolve yeast in warm water, let stand for 5 minutes, add to buttermilk. Add buttermilk and yeast to flour mixture. Mix well. Turn out on pastry board, roll out to desired thickness, cut biscuits. Dip in melted margarine, place on greased pans, bake at 450ºF. for 12 minutes. Can bake immediately or put in refrigerator and bake when needed. I put them in freezer, take out, place in cold oven turn to 450ºF.  and bake until done.
