3 eggs, beat well
1/2 cup of sugar
1 pkg. dry yeast dissolved in 1/2 cup of water
1/2 cup (total) of melted butter and shortening
1 cup of milk
1 teaspoon of salt
4 cups of flour
Beat eggs well and gradually add remaining ingredients, beat all together
well. Let rise in bowl 5 hours. Pour into greased 10" tube pan. Let rise for
1 hour. Bake for 1 hour in slow 325ºF. oven.
Note: In hot weather, 3 hours for first rising may be enough. Be sure dough
doubles.
