South of the Border Hot
Chocolate
two 1 ounce squares of bitter chocolate
2 cups of milk
1/2 cup of sugar
1 1/2 teaspoons of powdered cinnamon
1/8 teaspoon of powdered cloves
1 teaspoon of vanilla
1 egg
Heat chocolate and milk together in top part of double boiler over hot
water. Use rotary beater and beat until frothy. Beat in sugar, spices and
vanilla. Beat egg lightly with fork. Pour into hot chocolate. Beat with
rotary beater until all is frothy again. serve at once. Makes 3 large cups,
4 small ones. |
