Streusel Pumpkin Coffee Cake

1/2 cup of butter
3/4 cup of sugar
1 1/4 teaspoons of vanilla extract
3 eggs
2 cups of all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon of baking powder
1 teaspoon of baking soda
1/2 cup of sour cream
1 3/4 cups of solid-pack pumpkin
1 egg, lightly beaten
1/3 cup of sugar
1 1/2 teaspoons of pumpkin pie spice

Streusel: Mix well the following:
1 cup of brown sugar
1/3 cup of butter
2 teaspoons of cinnamon
1 cup of chopped nuts

Cream butter. 3/4 cup sugar and vanilla; add eggs; beat well. Combine flour, baking powder, and baking soda; add to butter mixture alternately with sour cream. Combine pumpkin, beaten egg, 1/3 cup sugar, and pie spice. Spoon half of batter into 13 X 9-inch baking pan; sprinkle half of streusel mixture over batter; spread remaining pumpkin mixture over streusel; sprinkle remaining streusel over top. Bake at 325ºF.  for 50 to 60 minutes, or until tested done in the middle. Serves 12.
