Oatmeal Apple Cookies

3/4 cup of butter Flavor Crisco
1 1/4 cups of brown sugar, firmly packed
1/4 cup of milk
1 1/2 teaspoons of vanilla
1 cup of flour, all purpose
1 1/4 teaspoons of cinnamon
1/4 teaspoon of nutmeg
1/4 teaspoon of baking soda
1/2 teaspoon of salt
1 cup of apples, peeled, diced
3/4 cup of raisins, optional
3/4 cup of walnut pieces, broken, optional
3 cups of oats, quick cooking

Preparation Time: 25 minutes Bake Time: 13 minutes Heat oven to 375ºF. Grease baking sheet with Butter Flavor Crisco. Set aside. Cream Butter Flavor Crisco, sugar, egg, milk and vanilla in large bowl at medium speed of electric mixer until well blended. Combine flour, cinnamon, nutmeg, baking soda and salt. Mix into creamed mixture. Stir in raisins and nuts. Stir in oats. Drop rounded tablespoonfuls of dough 2 inches apart onto baking sheet. Bake at 375ºF. for 13 minutes. Cool 2 minutes on baking sheet. Remove to cooling rack. Makes 2 1/2 dozen cookies.
