Walnut Crescent Cookies with Chocolate Glaze

1 cup of butter, softened
3/4 cup of sugar
1 1/2 teaspoons of vanilla
2 1/2 cups of all-purpose flour
1 cup of finely chopped walnuts
Chocolate Glaze
chocolate jimmys or flaked coconut

Ingredients for Chocolate Glaze:
1 1/2 ounces semisweet baking chocolate
1 1/2 teaspoons of light corn syrup
1 1/2 teaspoons of cream

To make Chocolate Glaze:
In a small saucepan, combine all ingredients. Cook over low heat, stirring constantly until smooth.

To make cookies:
In a large mixing bowl, cream butter and sugar until smooth. Add vanilla; blend well. Gradually blend in flour; stir in nuts. Shape spoonsful of dough into rolls about 3 inches long. Place on an ungreased cookie sheet. Pull ends down to form a crescent shape. Bake in a preheated 350ºF. oven for 15 to 16 minutes or until golden. Cool slightly on pan. Remove to wire rack to cool completely. Dip crescent ends in Chocolate Glaze, then in jimmys or coconut. Makes about 5 dozen cookies.
