Fig Cake
1/2 cup of corn oil
2 cups of brown sugar
4 eggs
3 cups of chopped figs
3 cups of whole wheat flour
3 teaspoon of baking powder
1/4 teaspoon of salt
1 teaspoon of cinnamon
1 teaspoon of ginger
1 cup of water |

Blend the corn oil with the brown sugar. Add the
eggs and the chopped figs. Mix well. Stir the dry ingredients together. Add
alternately, with the water, to the fig mixture. Beat well after each
addition. Pour into a greased and floured tube pan. Bake at 325ºF. for 1 1/2
hours
