Luscious Chocolate Cake
2 cups of sugar 2 cups of self rising flour 1/2 teaspoon of salt 1 cup of Crisco 1 stick of butter 1 cup of water 4 tablespoons of cocoa 2 eggs 1/2 cup of buttermilk 1 teaspoon of vanilla |

Instructions:
Mix sugar, flour and salt. In saucepan bring to boil Crisco, butter, water and cocoa. Add to flour mixture. Add eggs, buttermilk and vanilla. Bake in greased and floured 9x13 pan at 350ºF. for 45 minutes.
Icing: 1/4 pound of butter 4 tablespoons of cocoa 8 tablespoons of milk 1 pound of powdered sugar 1 teaspoon of vanilla 1 cup of walnuts
Heat in saucepan butter, cocoa and milk. Add sugar, vanilla and walnuts. Icing will be thin. Pour over cake.
