Toffee Crème Sandwich
Cookies
One 7 ounce jar of marshmallow crème
¼ cup of toffee baking pieces
48 (2 inch) sugar or fudge striped shortbread cookies
Red or green sprinkles
Combine marshmallow crème and toffee pieces in medium bowl until well
blended. Mixture will be stiff.
Spread 1 teaspoon of marshmallow mixture on bottom of 1 cookie; top with
another cookie. Roll side of sandwich cookie in sprinkles. Repeat with
remaining marshmallow crème mixture, cookies and sprinkles. Makes 2
dozen cookies
Add variety to the cookie platter by mixing flavored extracts into the
marshmallow crème, and using different extract into the crème, sandwich
between chocolate wafers, and roll edges in grated chocolate. Or, add a
few drops of orange oil to the filling layer between almond butter
cookies and roll edges in chopped toasted almonds. |
