Forgotten Meringues 2 egg whites Pinch of salt 2/3 c. sugar 1 tsp. vanilla 1 c. (6 oz.) chocolate morsels |

Instructions:
Beat egg whites until foamy. Add salt
and continue beating until soft peaks are formed. Gradually add
sugar, beating thoroughly until the mixture forms soft peaks.
Sprinkle the vanilla and chocolate morsels over the top and fold in.
Drop by small teaspoons onto a lightly greased cookie sheet. (Place
close together, as they will not spread.) Place in a 350ºF. oven and
immediately turn the oven off. Let the cookies dry in the oven
overnight. Makes about 5 dozen.
