Applesauce Mousse
1 cup of applesauce
6 tablespoons of sugar
1 1/2 teaspoons of grated lemon peel
1/4 teaspoon of powdered nutmeg
1 cup of heavy cream, whipped
Turn temperature control of refrigerator to coldest setting.
Mix applesauce, sugar, lemon peel, and nutmeg. Fold into whipped cream.
Pour into freezing tray of refrigerator. freeze 2 hours. Turn out into
chilled bowl. Beat thoroughly and return to freezer tray. Freeze about 2
hours or until firm. Makes 4 or more servings |
