Jubilee Cheese Pie

1 unbaked 9" pie shell
1 can of cherry pie filling mix
1 8 ounce package of cream cheese, softened to room temperature
1/2 teaspoon of vanilla
2 whole eggs
1 cup of granulated sugar
1 cup of sour cream
1 1/2 tablespoons of nutmeg

Heat oven to 425ºF.  Turn cherry filling into pie shell and bake for 15 minutes. Beat cream cheese, eggs, sugar, and vanilla until smooth and creamy. Carefully spoon mixture over top of cherry filling. Bake for an additional 30 minutes; then cool. Spread sour cream over top of cooled pie, then sprinkle with nutmeg. Refrigerate until served. Serves 8
