Pecan Pie
3 eggs
1/2 cup of sugar
1 cup of dark corn syrup
1/8 teaspoon of salt
1 teaspoon of vanilla
1/4 cup of butter or margarine, melted
1 cup of whole pecans
1 unbaked 9-inch pastry shell
Beat eggs in a bowl; add sugar and syrup. Beat in salt, vanilla, and butter;
set aside. Spread pecans evenly in bottom of pie shell; add filling. Bake in
a preheated 350ºF. oven 50 to 60 minutes. Nuts will rise to top of pie
to form crust. Cool on rack. Makes 1 pie. |
