Zwieback Pie 1 Box zwieback toast; crushed 1/2 cup Sugar 1/2 cup Butter; melted 1 tablespoon Cinnamon 3/4 cup Sugar 2 tablespoons Flour 2 cups Milk 4 Egg yolks 1 teaspoon Vanilla 4 Egg whites 6 tablespoons Sugar |

Mix toast (reserve 1/2 cup for top), 1/2 cup sugar, butter & cinnamon. Press into pie pan & bake at 375ºF. for 10 minutes. Combine 3/4 cup sugar, flour, milk & yolks in saucepan. Cook & stir over low heat until thick. Add vanilla & pour into crust. Beat egg whites & 6 Tbs sugar. Cover filling with meringue, sprinkle with remaining crumbs. Bake at 400ºF. until brown.
