| Baked Brown Rice Custard
two 13 ounce cans of evaporated milk 1 pound of brown sugar or 1 1/2 cup of honey 1 pound of brown rice, cooked 2 tablespoons of cinnamon 1 tablespoon of nutmeg 2 tablespoons of vanilla 6 eggs 1/2 cup of hot cream |

Mix milk with equal parts of water, sugar or honey and rice. Mix dry ingredients and vanilla and combine with milk mixture. Beat eggs and add a small amount of hot cream to beaten eggs stirring constantly. Combine all ingredients and mix thoroughly. Pour into buttered pan and bake at 375ºF. for one hour. |
