Apricot Peach Plume Compote

1 can of apricots
1 can of peaches, 1 pound 13 ounces
1 can of plums
1/3 cup of brown sugar
1 teaspoon of grated lemon rind
1/2 cup of orange juice

Drain the syrup from canned fruit. Place fruit in saucepan. Add brown sugar, lemon rind and orange juice. Bring to a boil over direct heat. Turn heat very low and simmer gently for 10 minutes. Serve hot or cold. Great with ham or turkey  and on buffet table.
