Allspice
Meatball Stew
one 16 ounce package of frozen cooked Italian style
meatballs
3 cups of green beans cut into 2 inch pieces or frozen cut
green beans
2 cups of packaged, peeled baby carrots
one 14 1/2 ounce can of beef broth
2 teaspoons of Worcestershire sauce
1/2 to 3/4 teaspoon of ground allspice
1/2 teaspoon of ground cinnamon
two 14 1/2 ounce cans of stewed tomatoes
In a Dutch oven combine the meatballs, green beans, carrots,
beef broth, Worcestershire sauce, allspice, and cinnamon.
Bring to boiling; reduce heat. Cover and simmer for 10
minutes.
Stir in undrained tomatoes. Return to boiling; reduce heat.
Cover and simmer about 5 minutes more or till vegetables are
crisp tender. Makes 8 servings |
