Macaroni Met Ham en Koas ( Holland)
one 8 ounce package of macaroni
1/2 pound of boiled ham, chopped
one 3 ounce package of cream cheese
2 tablespoons of butter
nutmeg
4 egg, beaten
1 cup of milk
1 tablespoons of finely chopped lemon peel
Cook macaroni in boiling salted water for 12 minutes, drain. Arrange
layers of macaroni, ham and cheese in greased baking dish, dotting each
layer of macaroni with butter. Sprinkle with nutmeg. Beat eggs with
milk, add 1 teaspoon of melted butter and lemon peel. Pour sauce over
macaroni. Place in pan of hot water, bake at 350ºF. for 30 minutes. 6 -8
servings |
