Pasta with Green Beans and Mushrooms
1 1/2 pounds of green beans; cleaned,
1/2 pound of mushrooms; cleaned and
1 onion; sliced
5 cloves garlic; minced
1/2 cup of red wine
32 ounces of canned tomatoes; crushed
2 teaspoons of basil
1 teaspoon of marjoram
Freshly ground black pepper
1 pound of pasta
Put wine in a large skillet or Dutch oven. Add all veggies and herbs,
let simmer, covered, for 10 to 15 minutes. Add crushed tomatoes. Let
simmer 30 minutes or until you are ready for it. Cook pasta in unsalted,
un-boiled water. Combine and enjoy. Yields: 8 Servings |
