Peachy Holiday Ham

IMPORTANT: First take off as much gelatin from ham as possible. Use a 3-pound ham, but a 5-pound canned ham works just as well. Place ham in glass casserole dish; set aside.

In saucepan, mix and heat until boiling:
1/2 cup of  water
1 tablespoons of  fresh lemon juice
2 tablespoons of white granulated sugar
1/2 tablespoons of powder*
3 pinches arrowroot or 6-9 pinches cornstarch
2 tablespoons of  Worcestershire sauce
one 16 ounce can of sliced peaches with juice

*(From a packet of French's Mi Casa Chili Seasoning Mix, spicy style).

Pour the above mixture over ham. Place a small piece of aluminum foil over ham so the top does not get tough. The sides are left open. Turn occasionally, once or twice during cooking time. Bake at 350ºF. for 3-5 hours, depending on size of ham. Cook a 3-pound ham for  3-4 hours.
