Caramel Corn 

4 quarts of popped popcorn
1 cup of brown sugar
1/4 cup of corn syrup
1 stick of margarine
1/2 teaspoon of salt
1/2 teaspoon of soda

 

Combine brown sugar, margarine, syrup and salt in a 2 quart dish. Place in microwave. Bring to a boil. Cook for 2 minutes. Remove. Add soda, mix well. Put popcorn in a heavy brown paper grocery bag. Pour syrup over popcorn, seal bag. Microwave 1 1/2 minutes, remove. Shake well. Microwave for 1 1/2 minutes, remove. Shake. Microwave for another 1 1/2 minutes. Remove, shake. Pour into shallow pan. Break apart. Store in a air tight  container.
