Fettuccine w/Basil & Parsley
1/4 pound of fettuccine or any pasta
1 tablespoon of soft margarine
1 clove garlic, minced
1/3 cup of chopped fresh parsley
1/4 cup of chopped fresh basil or 1 teaspoon of dried
freshly ground pepper
In a large pot of boiling water, cook the noodles according to package
directions or until al dente, tender but not firm). Drain in
colander. Add margarine and garlic to pot, cook, stirring, for 1 minute
over medium heat. Add hot noodles, parsley, basil, and pepper to taste:
toss to mix. Serve hot. Makes 4 servings
Options: Add one large tomato, chopped, along with herbs. Sprinkle each
serving with grated Parmesan cheese. Make with capellini or vermicelli
noodles and serve as a first course. |
