Chicken & Vegetable Soup w/Noodles

2 tablespoons of butter
2 carrots, peeled and sliced
2 stalks celery, sliced
1/2 cup of chopped green pepper
1 small onion, peeled and chopped
4 cups of chicken broth
1 1/2 cups of chopped cooked chicken
1 large tomato, skinned and chopped
salt and pepper to taste
1/2 cup of frozen peas
8 ounces of egg noodles, broken into small pieces

Heat butter in large saucepan. Add carrots, celery, green pepper, and onion, sauté for 6 minutes, stirring occasionally. Add chicken broth, chicken, tomato, salt and pepper, simmer for 20 minutes.
Add peas to soup. Stir well, then simmer for 5 minutes longer. Add small pieces of noodles and simmer for 5  minutes, stirring occasionally. Remove from heat and serve. Serves 4
