Lo Mein Soup
8 cups of water
1 teaspoon of salt
1 cup of fresh Chinese noodles
2 tablespoons of sesame oil
1/2 pound of boneless pork, cut into thin strips
3 scallions, shredded
1 1/4 cups of Chinese cabbage leaves, shredded
4 cups of hot chicken broth
1/8 teaspoon of salt
1/8 teaspoon of pepper
Place water and salt in large saucepan and bring to a boil. Add noodles
and boil for about 8 minutes or until noodles are tender, drain and set
noodles aside.
Heat oil in frying pan. Add pork strips and sauté until browned. Add
scallions and Chinese cabbage, sauté for 2 minutes longer. Add pork
vegetable mixture and noodles to chicken broth. Season with salt and
pepper. Serve in warmed soup bowls. |
