Pork Chops w/Apple Onion Sauce
4 center cut pork chops, 3/4 inch thick, about 1 pound
1/4 cup of water
salt and pepper
2 tablespoons of butter or margarine
2 cups of diced apple
1/2 cup of chopped onion
1/2 cup of dairy sour cream
1 teaspoon of lemon juice
1/2 teaspoon of onion salt
paprika
chopped parsley
In heavy skillet, brown shops in own fat on both sides. Drain off fat,
add 1/4 cup of water and season chops with salt and pepper. Cover and
cook over low heat 45 minutes. Meanwhile melt butter and add apple and
onion. Sauté over low heat for 15 minutes or until quite soft. Put chops
on platter and keep warm. Add sour cream, lemon juice and onion salt to
apple and onion and cook about 5 minutes. Spoon on chops and garnish
with paprika and parsley. Makes 4 servings.
