Pork Chops w/Applesauce Cream
four 3/4" thick pork loin chops
2 tablespoons of butter or margarine
1 tablespoon of apple brandy
1 clove garlic, finely chopped or 1 teaspoon of garlic paste
2 tablespoons of finely chopped onion
1/2 cup of applesauce
1 1/2 teaspoons of all purpose flour
1 1/2 teaspoons of Dijon mustard
1/2 cup of sour cream
hot buttered noodles
4 thinly sliced apple wedges, optional
Brown the pork chops on both sides in butter in a large skillet over medium heat. Remove chops, set aside. Add brandy, garlic, onion, applesauce, flour and mustard to skillet, cook 3 minutes. Stir in sour cream with a wire whisk. Return chops to skillet, cover and simmer for 20 minutes or until chops are tender. Serve pork chops with applesauce cream over hot buttered noodles. Garnish each pork chop with an apple wedge, if desired. 4 servings
