Pork Chops w/Brown rice
4 pork chops, about 1 pound
1 tablespoon of cooking oil
1 package (4 5/8 ounces) of quick cooking brown and wild rice mix with
mushrooms
1 1/3 cups of water
1 stalk celery, sliced
1/2 cup of sour cream
In a skillet, brown the chops in hot oil over medium heat. Remove chops
from skillet, discard drippings. In the same skillet, combine the rice
mix, water and celery, place chops over rice mixture. Bring to a boil.
Reduce heat and simmer, covered for 30 minutes. Remove chops from the
skillet, keep warm. Stir sour cream into rice mixture, heat through, but
do not boil. Serve with chops. Makes 4 servings |
