Pork Chops w/Fruit Sauce
4 loin pork chops, about 1 3/4 pounds, trimmed 1/4 teaspoon of garlic powder 1/4 teaspoon of onion powder 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil 1/2 cup of apricot preserves 1/4 cup of water 1/8 teaspoon of salt fresh parsley sprigs
Sprinkle pork chops with garlic powder and onion powder. Brown the chops on both sides in hot oil in a large skillet. Add the remaining ingredients except parsley. Cover and simmer 30 minutes or until pork chops are tender. Remove pork chops to a warm serving platter. Cook sauce mixture over medium high heat 3 minutes or until thickened. Spoon sauce over pork chops. Garnish with parsley. Serve immediately. 4 servings
*Peach preserves may be substituted for apricot preserves |
