Smoked
Pork Chop & Lima Skillet
two 10 ounce packages of frozen lima beans
5 or 6 smoked pork loin chops
1 teaspoon of chicken flavored gravy base
1 tablespoon of all purpose flour
1/2 teaspoon of dried basil leaves, crushed
3/4 cup of water
Omitting salt in cooking water, cook lime beans
according to package directions; drain. In skillet brown
chops over medium heat. Remove chops. Pour off all but about
1 tablespoon drippings. Add gravy base to skillet. Blend in
flour and basil. Add water; cook and stir over medium heat
till thickened and bubbly. Add lima beans to skillet; stir
to coat. Arrange chops over beans. Cover; cook over low heat
till heated, about 5 minutes. Serves 5 or 6 |
