Bars 1 cup of dried apple slices ; finely chopped 1 cup of boiling water 1 cup of Pillsbury BEST All Purpose Flour, or Unbleached Flour 1 cup of quick cooking rolled oats 1/2 cup of Pillsbury BEST Whole Wheat Flour 2 teaspoons of cinnamon 1 teaspoon of baking soda 1/2 teaspoon of salt 3/4 cup of brown sugar, firmly packed 1/2 cup of margarine or butter, softened 1 egg 3/4 cup of unsweetened applesauce Glaze 3/4 cup of powdered sugar 3 - 4 teaspoons of milk ; up to 4 |

Dried apples and applesauce combine to make this a healthful cake-like bar. If time is short, simply sprinkle with powdered sugar instead of glazing.
Heat oven to 350ºF. Spray 13x9-inch pan with nonstick cooking spray. In small bowl, combine dried apples and boiling water; set aside. Lightly spoon flour into measuring cup, level off. In small bowl, combine all-purpose flour, rolled oats, whole wheat flour, baking soda, cinnamon and salt; mix well. Set aside.
